Rodent Control

Mice and Rats Don't
Belong in Your Home

Rodents contaminate food, chew through wiring, and spread disease. Our comprehensive rodent control program eliminates active infestations and seals your home so they can't come back.

A Serious Threat

Why Rodents Require Immediate Action

A single mouse can squeeze through a gap the size of a dime. Once inside, rodents multiply fast — a pair of mice can produce up to 60 offspring in a single year. Beyond the obvious disgust factor, rodents are a genuine health and safety hazard: they contaminate surfaces with urine and droppings, gnaw through electrical wiring (a leading cause of house fires), and can carry hantavirus, leptospirosis, and salmonella.

In Northeast Georgia, rat and mouse pressure increases significantly in fall as temperatures drop and rodents seek warm shelter. Task Force Pest Control uses a three-pronged approach — eliminate, exclude, monitor — to not only remove the rodents you have now but to prevent future invasions. We don't just trap; we find out how they got in and close those entry points permanently.

  • Complete interior and exterior property inspection
  • Strategic trap placement and bait station setup
  • Entry-point identification and sealing (exclusion work)
  • Crawl space and attic rodent assessment
  • Sanitation and harborage reduction recommendations
  • Follow-up visits to check traps and monitor activity
  • Ongoing prevention programs for high-risk properties

Our Process

Eliminate, Exclude, Protect

01

Inspect & Assess

We conduct a thorough inspection of your home's interior and exterior — checking attic spaces, crawl spaces, utility penetrations, gaps around pipes, vents, and the roofline — to identify all active entry points, nesting areas, and the extent of the infestation.

02

Trap & Eliminate

We deploy snap traps, live traps, or tamper-resistant exterior bait stations strategically placed along rodent runways and entry zones. We return to check and reset traps, remove rodents, and adjust placement based on activity patterns until the population is eliminated.

03

Seal & Prevent

Trapping alone isn't a long-term solution. We identify and seal entry points — gaps in the foundation, utility penetrations, soffit vents, and gaps around pipes — using professional-grade materials that rodents can't chew through, creating a lasting defense against re-entry.

Why Task Force

Rodent Control That Actually Solves the Problem

Exclusion Work Included

Most pest control companies trap and call it done. We identify and seal the entry points so you're not calling us back every season for the same problem.

Safe for Families & Pets

All bait stations are tamper-resistant and placed out of reach of children and pets. We also offer trap-only options for households that prefer not to use rodenticide products indoors.

Fast Response

Rodent infestations get worse fast. We offer same-day and next-day service for active infestations because we know this isn't a "schedule it for next week" situation.

Veteran-Operated

Our founder served this country before serving Northeast Georgia. That means high standards, clear communication, and work you can trust — every time.

Satisfaction Guaranteed

If rodents return between services, we come back at no extra charge and reassess. We don't stop until your home is rodent-free.

10+ Years of Experience

We've handled rodent infestations in everything from historic homes to newer subdivisions across 12 Northeast Georgia communities. We've seen it all and know how to solve it.

Heard Scratching in the Walls?

Don't wait for a small problem to become a large infestation. If you're seeing droppings, gnaw marks, or hearing rodents at night, it's time to call in the task force.

Common Questions

Rodent Control FAQs

Common signs include droppings (mouse droppings are small and rice-shaped; rat droppings are larger, about the size of a raisin), gnaw marks on food packaging or structural materials, grease smears along walls and baseboards from oily fur, nesting material (shredded paper, insulation), and scratching or scurrying sounds — typically at night. A musky odor in enclosed spaces like cabinets or crawl spaces can also indicate an active infestation.

We use tamper-resistant bait stations that prevent access by pets and children when placed properly. However, if you prefer a rodenticide-free approach — especially for households with dogs, cats, or raptors — we can use an exclusively trap-based program. We'll discuss all options with you before placing any products, and we never use secondary-poisoning-risk rodenticides near areas frequented by pets or wildlife.

It depends on the severity and how long the infestation has been established. Minor infestations caught early may be resolved in 2–3 visits over 2–3 weeks. Larger or longer-standing infestations can take 4–6 visits over 4–6 weeks. We'll give you a realistic assessment after the initial inspection and keep you updated after each visit.

Yes — exclusion is a core part of our rodent control program, not an add-on. We identify gaps, cracks, utility penetrations, and other entry points and seal them using materials rodents can't chew through, such as steel wool, hardware cloth, and caulk. Trapping without exclusion is a temporary fix; we believe in solving the problem permanently.

Always use gloves and a mask when handling dead rodents. Place the rodent in a sealed plastic bag and dispose of it in an outdoor trash bin. Disinfect the area with a bleach solution (1 part bleach to 10 parts water) and wash your hands thoroughly. If you're finding multiple dead rodents, call us — it could indicate a larger infestation or secondary poisoning from another source that needs to be addressed.
